Lotty's Story

I’m Lotty Cairns, digital marketing expert and creative thinker who has worked in content, social media and digital campaigns for over 8 years.


In freelance and full-time marketing roles, I have teamed up with ambitious and well-known brands in hospitality, retail, lifestyle and tourism - helping them thrive with content creation, social media and creative campaigns.


I started my marketing career in the tourism industry promoting places and events in Cheshire. In 2016, I moved into retail, working as a content marketer for well-established brands in the North of England - such as The Hut Group and Wedgwood. Content and campaign marketing became my specialist area and later my business niche.

3 years ago I launched MKTG Lotty out of a need to prioritise my health alongside my marketing career. As a Type 1 Diabetic (a chronic condition effecting blood glucose levels) I wanted more flexibility in my daily life - which full-time roles didn’t support. Armed with sector experience, I turned solo’preneur and landed my first client The New World Trading Company. Since then, I have worked on exciting projects for a number of clients, including sustainable ballet wear champions Imperfect Pointes, luxury fashion heritage brand Trigère (in partnership with Adjust Studio), Manchester-born sports bag business Jimbag and most recently the famous food brand Rick Stein's at Home.
